Exness helped WWF restore populations of rare animal species

Exness Group had previously supported WWF Russia's projects to restore rare species - the Persian leopard in the Caucasus and the Siberian tiger in the Far East.

Restoration of the Persian leopard in the Caucasus

In the 20th century, the population of Persian leopards in the Caucasus had virtually disappeared. In 2015, WWF Russia, with the support of Exness, released some animals of this species into the wild. The young leopards needed not only feed and care, but also special constructions that imitate the natural environment and help develop the animals' agility and strength.

Even though they were released into the wild, the leopards still had to be monitored. As part of the partnership with Exness, radio collars and broadcast equipment were acquired and placed on each animal.

"We want to draw the world's attention to pressing environmental problems and make a significant contribution to nature conservation."

Petr Valov, Director of Exness

Restoration of the Siberian tiger in the Far East

The Siberian tiger is a rare species that lives in the Sikhote Alin Nature Reserve. With Exness' support, WWF Russia was able to clear paths and make it easier for the reserve's employees to move about.

Additionally, at least four taiga huts were built in the territory, serving as stopping points for the reserve's inspectors and researchers.

Saving of the Polar Bear in Yakutia

According to experts' estimates, there is no more than 25,000 polar bears left in the world and each year, their number falls due to poaching and climate change.

Exness sponsored patrols of the Bear Islands, which contain up to 15 ancestral bear dens, and financed the purchase of field equipment, including GPS units, binoculars, uniforms, and cameras, for inspectors.
