Using the remote terminal with various OS

Windows XP (or its predecessors)

  • Windows XP has an integrated remote desktop manager that can be found as follows: Start - All Programs - Communications - Remote Desktop Connection (these options may differ in the different versions of XP). If you have earlier version of Windows, you will have to install remote desktop software (you can download it from the Microsoft website or copy mstsc.exe and mstcsax.dll files from the c:\windows\system32\ of a PC with Windows XP and paste it to the same folder of another PC).
  • Start the remote client ("Start -> All Programs -> Communications -> Remote Desktop Connection" or simply run mstsc.exe). Press "Options" to access the Remote desktop manager configuration. "Computer" is the address of the VPS server. Here you will enter a static IP address. After that, simply enter the login and password you received during registration.
  • After connecting, you can run MT4 on the remote desktop and start trading.
